In January of 2013 while on a long walk on a beach in Malibu close friends Alex Dontre (Psychostick) and Jesse "Turff" McInturff (formerly Screaming Mechanical Brain) brainstormed the idea of taking a week off from their respective bands to just get together and write music with no other intention then personal enjoyment.

In June of 2013 they convened in a rehearsal studio in Minneapolis and over that week wrote four songs in six days with terrible mismatched recording equipment and no concern with perfection.

Turff then moved to Los Angeles and the Pro Tools files lay dormant for years till now.
